While we do not like having to have lots of rules we are surrounded by other beach huts where everyone wants to have a nice relaxing and fun day at the beach and so by booking our huts you agree to the terms and conditions below:-

  1. Within these terms and conditions the following definitions are used:-

‘MDBH’ means Magical Day Beach Huts

‘Guest’ the customer who has booked the beach hut.

‘Hut’ means Hermione, Harry, Luna or Sybil beach huts and collectively defined as ‘Huts’

  1. The occupancy times for the Huts can be found on the individual hut pages. You must be ready to leave the Hut by the end time so that our cleaners can enter promptly.
  2. Full payment is required on booking and this payment is non refundable except in the following circumstances:-

3(a) A refund less a £20.00 administration fee will be given to the Guest if more than 14 days notice of a cancellation is received. If less than 14 days notice is given no refund can be made but if we are able to resell the date a refund will be given less a £25.00 administration fee. There is no obligation on MDBH to resell any dates.

3(b) If MDBH need to cancel the booking for any reason. We will try to move a Guest to an alternative agreeable date where possible in this situation.

3(c) Where we need to amend your booking and the amendment it is not agreeable to the Guest.

3(d) Please note there is strictly no refunds for change of mind or for weather. Booking a beach hut is an outdoor activity and if you would like guaranteed good weather we would suggest not booking in advance. In the case of weather warnings being issued for the period of hire an off peak voucher may be offered in lieu at the discretion of MDBH’.

  1. Unfortunately, we are not able to transfer booking dates or swap dates to alternative Huts.
  2. We reserve the right to refuse any booking without providing reasons where required.
  3. We reserve the right to amend any booking subject to 3(c) above.
  4. Bookings are non-transferable without our prior consent. Any substitute guest would need to agree to these Terms and Conditions directly with MDBH. If you require to transfer your date to another party please contact us at least 14 days prior to the booking. MDBH are unable to guarantee a transfer with any less notice. Please note that we reserve the right not to agree to any transfer to another party without reason. Note if those found in the Hut are not the original Guests booked into the hut they may be asked to leave.
  5. The Hut occupancy is clearly shown on each individual Hut page. This is maximum that can visit the Hut both inside and outside. This includes guests that may visit you on the beach and just pop in and out of the Hut. Any Guest and their visitors which exceed this occupancy limit will be asked to leave. Please note the that the Huts are patrolled regularly.
  6. Please be considerate to the Hut neighbours and this includes no music to be played. Please do not take up any space in front of neighbouring huts and please do not cause any excessive noise or nuisance to any other hut occupier. You may be asked to leave immediately if this is not adhered to.
  7. MDBH hope and require that you will take good care of our Huts and the Huts are required to be returned at the end of your booking clean and tidy and in good repair and condition. Please notify any breakages to MDBH on the day of your booking so that we can resolve ready for our next guests. General wear and tear and small accidents can of course be accommodated but we reserve the right to charge you for any wilful or negligent act of damage to our Huts or any neighbouring huts.
  8. Please make sure all the items you use are washed, dried up and put away at the end of your visit. All huts have a washing up bowl, washing up liquid, cloths and access to water.
  9. Please ensure that when you open up the huts via the keysafe that keys are returned to the keysafe once you have opened the padlocks. This way you always know the location of the keys. Please ensure the keysafe code is never visible to third parties. A charge will be made for any keys that need replacing.
  10. Please ensure that you keep the padlocks in a safe place. Please also check your bags at the end of the day to make sure you do not take them home. A charge will be made for any missing padlocks at the end of the booking.
  11. Smoking is not permitted within the Huts.
  12. The stove is for the use of boiling water only and food should not be cooked on the stove. At each hut there are cafes for food nearby.
  13. Two reasonable sized well behaved dogs are welcome at the Huts subject to the following conditions and guests may be asked to leave if not adhered to:-

16(a) The dogs are not permitted to go on to any soft furnishings including any sofa or sitting areas.

16(b) All Guests must clean up after their dogs immediately.

16(c) The dogs must not cause a nuisance to any neighbouring hut by way of nuisance behaviour or noise.

16(d) Presently the beaches in front of our Huts are dog friendly but care should be taken when walking further with the dogs as some beaches do have restrictions.

  1. Any complaints can only be dealt with on the day of your booking and all guests are provided with our telephone number to contact us if there are any problems.
  2. MDBH is not liable to Guests or to the visitors of Guests for any loss, damage, death or injury except where required under statutory law.
